Grants awarded to Aldershot fencers

Five of coach Steve Davey's Aldershot Fencing Club fencers have each received grants from Godalming's 'Go for Gold' fund.
The five, Grace Stafford, Jo Sale, Liz Ng, Nikki Barlow and Toby Lee each received £500 from the local Member of Parliament Jeremy Hunt.
'Sport Godalming' was set up to provide funding to individuals with international potential. The fund's aim is to distribute £25,000 to local athletes by 2012 and to be eligible the athletes need to have connections with Godalming. To date, Fencing has won the highest number of grants of any of the local sports.
