How fencers are ranked and selected for GBR representation

Fencers are ranked by category (Cadet, Junior, and Senior), weapon (foil, epee, or sabre) and gender.

Rankings are calculated from ranking points earned in competitions. The number of points earned depends on the strength of the competition as well as the fencer's placing.

Please note: Selection dates on the calendar refer to the cut-off date for rankings for specific internationals, not the date the selection will definitely be published.  The list of selected fencers will be produced as soon as possible after this date.
