General Notes and Criteria

 

 

 

Junior Support Fund

  1. The funds available are to alleviate financial hardship and are for training, equipment and attendance at competitions.
  2. Age 13 – 17.  However the panel can take into consideration exceptional circumstances and amend the age limit at their discretion.
  3. Must be a Full Member of England Fencing, in the appropriate age group.
  4. Whilst membership of a Club Affiliated to England/BFA, is expected as the norm, England Members of non affiliated Clubs will be considered in exceptional circumstances.
  5. Potential and eligibility to Fence for England at junior level.
  6. Provision of development and training programme supervised by a recognised coach of appropriate standard.
  7. Provision of measurable goals during the next twelve months.
  8. Statement of ambition as a junior fencer.
  9. Only one application per individual per year will be considered.  Applications may be made in subsequent years.

Number of years fencing, best age-group result, best senior competition result, age-appropriate national ranking/senior ranking if appropriate in addition to 5, 7 and 8 above.
