Coach Education and development is extremely important for the future development of the sport of fencing. Currently we offer the following courses to train and develop new coaches:
British Fencing operate a register of coaches and coach tutors. This is designed to ensure that the quality and integrity of our coaches and of our coach education system is maintained at a high standard.
The register is published on a monthly basis and allows schools, clubs, companies wishing to employ a coach to check their credentials prior to confirming employment.

Please ensure that when registering for a coaching course you complete and return the Coach Registration Application form with payment to charlie.miller@britishfencing.com or by post to National Development Administrator, British Fencing, 1 Baron's Gate, 33-35 Rothschild Road, London W4 5HT.

The National Academy Coach Development Scheme, a Level 3 coaching course, is run as part of the National Academy with a week long course taking place at the National Academy Summer Residential at Nottingham Trent University.
The 2012 programme will have Jes Smith as it's Lead Coach Tutor. Additional Coach Tutors are currently being recruited. If you are a Registered Level 3 or Level 4 Coach Tutor and are interested in being a Tutor at the National Academy please contact charlie.miller@britishfencing.com .
The cost of the course is as follows:
£650.00 - All meals and accommodation
£550.00 - All meals no accommodation
£450.00 - No meals no accommodation
This can be paid in one payment or over a series of instalments. Please refer to the link for possible funding opportunities:-

We are also exploring alternative funding routes which will be communicated to those who register their interest. So please register as soon as possible.
Potential applicants are requested to register their interest as soon as possible and no later than 1st June and state their preferred weapon for study.
