I’d like to draw your attention to the results of the Sport England Active People Survey 8 Q2 results released here today.
This shows an increase in the number of people in England participating for at least 30 minutes of at least moderate intensity at least once a week in Fencing.*
The number has risen from just over 10,000 (APS 7 Oct 12 – Oct 13) to 21,700. To see how the change in once a week participation in fencing compares to other sports click here.
Results demonstrating that more people are participating in our sport is great news. The challenge for us now is to work together to retain them and continue to attract new people from all ages and backgrounds into our sport.
*The figures presented are designated Official Statistics. A description of the Active People Survey can be found here.
