James Honeybone is a London 2012 Olympian, 5-time GB Senior Sabre Champion, current British Number 1 and World Number 30.  James started fencing aged 9 in Truro, going on to reach the final of the Cadet World Championships in 2008.  In 2014 he relocated from Truro to Budapest, Hungary to train full time with the Hungarian National Team, in 2017 he moved back to UK to train on a daily basis with his lifelong coach, Jon Salfield and the rest of the of the GB Sabre Squad.  As well as training, James is working for his equipment sponsor, Leon Paul, in product development and also coaches young fencers several evenings a week.
