Becoming a Team Manager

Club Team Managers escorting athletes to domestic competitions or camps, including overnight stays, must:

  • Be a member of BF (mandatory) – the minimum membership level required is a Supporter membership. If you are not already a member, you can join here.
  • Be over 18 – the legal minimum age to have responsibility of minors is 18.
  • Hold a valid criminal records check (mandatory) – for more information, click here.
  • Hold a valid Domestic Team Manager qualification (mandatory) – for more information click here.
  • Hold a valid Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sports certificate (strongly advised) – for more information about approved courses click here.
  • Hold a valid  Emergency at Work First Aid certificate (advisory).
  • Be on the BF Team Manager Register.
