Sara Pantuliano has been appointed to the Soft Power Council, an advisory board to the UK government that brings together top soft power and foreign policy experts to shape the UK government’s soft power strategy and impact.
BF’s Chair, Sara Pantuliano, has been appointed to the UK’s new Soft Power Council, launched by the Foreign Secretary and the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport last week.
The newly established Council will identify opportunities across the sectors and industries represented where closer working with government can advance our broader growth and security objectives. It will drive greater impact through government campaigns and a systematic approach to the global foreign policy, cultural and sporting calendars.
On her appointment, Sara said, “I’m honoured to have been appointed a member of the UK’s inaugural Soft Power Council.
“Throughout my career I’ve seen how strong international partnerships are critical to meeting global development goals. We’ll be aiming to forge more of these – both at home and abroad, and find strategic ways to strengthen the UK’s ability to positively influence the achievement of shared goals.
“To do this, we’ll tap into the UK’s impressive sports, cultural and creative scene to drive growth and transformation. This potential has become ever more clear to me since becoming Chair of British Fencing last year.”
