“Fencing for Everyone” is an initiative created by the European Fencing Confederation (EFC) to provide more opportunities for young fencers across Europe and beyond, addressing the gaps left by changes to the FIE calendar.

The Fencing for Everyone circuit offers competitions for both Under 20 and Under 23 fencers, ensuring that young athletes have additional chances to compete and develop their skills on the international stage.

The FFE Cup of Nations was presented by Pascal Tesch, President of the EFC, and accepted by BF President Pat Aiyenuro at the EFC Congress in Genoa on 13th June.

Pascal Tesch said:

“I am delighted to present this award to British Fencing. I would like to congratulate all the nation participants in the European Cup. Together we work to grow fencing in Europe, supporting our young athletes to get vital international experience, reducing expense and environmental impact travel.”

Speaking of the award, Pat Aiyenuro said:

“I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of all the young fencers who have represented Great Britain at these events. In particular, I would like to mention our young female sabreurs who have won many medals over the season.”
