1. About The Role
British Fencing is seeking to recruit a GBR Administrator to join British Fencing’s small but dynamic Head Office team. Working across all Great Britain representative elements and reporting to the Head Office Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient delivery of administration tasks to support the staff, volunteers and athletes involved in GBR competitions.
As a key point of contact for GBR work areas, you will provide administration assistance for; travel & logistics of identified GBR events, ensuring selection & ranking information is communicated on the BF website, assisting the appointed GBR Chef de Mission with the planning of major championships, supporting the BOA Team Leader and the BF Aspiration Fund team throughout the Tokyo 2020 qualification period and beyond.
2. About You
British Fencing is seeking an individual with a passion for sport who has demonstrable experience of an administrative role within a fast paced environment, providing concurrent support to several projects and people at any one time. As a creative problem solver with effective communication skills, you will have a considered and confident approach with the ability to motivate and lead others.
You will be focused and committed to driving projects to conclusion by working independently and as part of a team. You will understand the value of sport and be aware of current themes affecting performance level sport.
Ideally, you will have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating yours and others tasks and activities to a deadline. You will be proficient in Microsoft office and have experience working with basic accounting and expense functions.
