Ahead of the 2025-26 season, British Fencing’s withdrawal process for EFC and FIE competitions has been updated, full details can be found below.
Instead of withdrawing from competitions by emailing BF, if an athlete wishes to withdraw from and EFC or FIE competition that they have previously accepted their place at, they will now need to complete an online form to do this. This process applies to both nominated and non-nominated events.

For non-medical withdrawals, athletes will be able to use this form to provide information on why they wish to withdraw, as well as seeing what fines and charges will apply to their withdrawal.
For medical withdrawals, athletes will be able to use this form to provide information of why they must withdraw, as well as being able to provide medical evidence.
