NORTH EAST SWORD IN HAND CPD A TRIUMPH

Nine coaches came together for a CPD day sharing their experiences.

Hosted by Fencing Development Team member Beth Cranston-Selby, Darlington in the North East was the destination for the latest BF Sword in Hand CPD day.

Nine coaches from across the area came together and discussed a range of topics, including developing games and coaching wheelchair fencing.

Amongst the feedback, participants believed the day helped them to not only increase fencer performance, but also to develop participation and deliver engaging sessions for children, adults and disabled participants.

BF’s Coaching & Workforce Development Manager, Chris Turner, commented:

“I’m delighted we were able to bring a Sword in Hand CPD day to the North East, and thank you to Beth for hosting the day.  The range of topics for exploration are decided by the group, in relation to their current coaching context. The feedback we have received has been really positive and suggests these days are having an impact.”
