SABRE COACH REQUIRED: ESCRIME ACADEMY

Escrime Academy is looking for a part-time qualified sabre coach.

From Escrime Academy:

Escrime Academy are looking for a highly motivated and competent sabre coach to join our friendly and hard-working team from September 2025.

As a club we are looking to expand the size and strength of our young sabre squad and we would love to hear from applicants who have a passion for fencing development and the ability to work with beginner and intermediate level fencers aged 8-16 yrs.

We train twice a week during term time in Central London.

  • Mondays 17:30 – 19:00
  • Thursdays 17:30 – 19:30

There is also the opportunity to pick up additional work by coaching at competitions and covering other coaches’ absences on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the day.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Running warm ups, footwork, free play sessions and class bladework lessons.
  • Giving one to one lessons.
  • General help with organising and setting up kit.
  • Coaching piste-side at competitions.
  • Supporting the head coach to ensure the smooth running of the club.

 

Essential:

  • Experience of coaching children and beginners.
  • Disciplined approach to training.
  • Level 1 Fencing Coaching qualification OR equivalent in experience.

 

Desirable:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work Trained
  • On the BF Coaching Register
  • Level 2 or higher Fencing Coaching qualification

 

Have or be prepared to have an Enhanced DBS before employment can commence.
