Competitive epee fencers are invited to take part in a study helping to advance performance analysis and coaching fencing footwork.
From Jon Cree, Senior Lecturer in Strength and Conditioning, Middlesex University, London:
The study investigates how variations in footwork during lunges and directional changes affect performance markers such as force, velocity, impulse, efficiency, and accuracy.
We are now recruiting competitive epee fencers (aged 18+, minimum 3 years’ experience) to take part in a single 2-hour testing session at our state-of-the-art sport science facility at StoneX Stadium, London. Participants will gain valuable insight into their performance and receive a DXA body composition scan (worth £300) as part of the process.
More study details and eligibility are available are attached or can be sent in a post-ready format if needed. Some further pictures and info are also available here.
