PLEASE HELP US UPDATE OUR BF TRAVEL GUIDES

Calling for GBR athletes of all ages, coaches and parents to help us update our BF travel guides to support those travelling to compete next season.

With the growing number of international fencing competitions – particularly with the addition of the new EFC U14 Calendar – it’s incredibly helpful when those who attend share their experiences and top tips to support others.

This isn’t about generic travel advice you can find online. We’re seeking insights that make a tangible difference for fencers and their support teams when attending competitions.

Practical details might include:

  • Accommodation options near the venue.
  • Best ways to travel to the venue (Is it safe at night? Are buses or taxis available?).
  • Nearby places to buy food and water.
  • Venue catering and amenities (changing rooms, toilets, warm-up space).
  • Temperature or climate considerations.
  • Local spots for pre-competition meals.

We’re especially keen to receive input on wheelchair competition venues and new U14 EFC locations, as these are areas where firsthand experience can be particularly valuable.

Thank you in advance for your support – it helps to build a stronger, better-informed fencing community.
