BF VACANCY: COACHING & DiSE PROJECTS OFFICER

Help shape the future of coaching by supporting and developing the next generation of fencing coaches. The deadline for applications is 12th July 2026.

BF is recruiting a Coaching & DiSE Projects Officer to support the delivery and development of its coaching and talent pathway programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build experience in the sport sector while contributing to a nationally significant programme.

Working within the Coaching & Workforce Development team, the role focuses on coordinating projects that connect coaching development with the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues and subject matter experts across BF to create impactful learning resources, support athletes and coaches, and contribute to workforce development initiatives.

The DiSE programme is a government-funded initiative designed to help talented athletes aged 16–18 balance education with high-performance sport. This role will play a key part in ensuring that both athletes and emerging coaches are supported through high-quality learning resources, clear development pathways and innovative digital content.

Key responsibilities include coordinating DiSE-related projects, supporting the development of a coaching pipeline into the talent pathway, and contributing to the rollout and management of BF’s digital learning platform. The role also supports initiatives that help athletes transition into workforce roles such as coaching, refereeing and team management.

The role is a full-time fixed-term contract until March 2028, with a salary of £26,500 per annum. The position offers flexible working, with in-person attendance in London (Chiswick) twice per month.

The closing date for applications is 12th July 2026 (11.59pm), with interviews scheduled for 22nd July 2026.

Applications are welcomed from all sections of the community, reflecting BF’s commitment to inclusivity, equality and diversity across the sport.
