Interested in developing futures leaders in your community, but aren’t sure where to start?

BF, in partnership with the Leadership Skills Foundation, has launched a new programme Leadership Through Fencing. Aimed at 11- to 17-year-olds, the programme provides a one-day training session from BF’s Fencing Development Team, where participants will learn practical tools to be empowered leaders which can be demonstrated through fencing. After the training, participants will be able to support fencing sessions in their local schools, clubs or communities while enhancing their leadership skills, with an award at the end.

Quick Facts:

• Delivered in 1 day (4.5 hours) for groups of up to 12 candidates.
• Candidates should be between the ages of 11 and 17.
• Fees for the 1-day course are as follows: £525 for 1 day training.
• Kit will be provided on the day, please arrive in athletic kit and closed toed shoes.

• Know what a fencing leader is and what they might do.
• Understand the leadership skills a fencing leader will need.

• Take positive action to keep everyone safe in the salle.
• Know how you could continue to develop and/or deploy your skills as a leader.
