CONSULTATION OPENS FOR THE 2021-22 GBR SELECTION POLICY

The draft 2021-2022 GBR selection policies are published for community consultation, including discussion events to provide feedback to the community.

The 2021-2022 GBR Selection Policy cover all age groups, U17s, U20s, U23s and Seniors.

Key Adjustments

• Consolidated multiple selection documents into a single document for all age categories.
• Standardised automatic qualification standards to fence for GBR at Major Championships for all ages, where applicable.
• Reflected the proposed changes set out in the new Ranking Scheme proposals for 2021-22 (e.g., Under 23 Ranking Scheme and recognition of EFC Under 23 events)
• Added clauses allowing greater flexibility for the impact of Covid19 to events and athletes.

The consultation period for the 2021-2022 selection policies will run from 30th June – Monday 12th July.  Members will be able to respond to the consultation by submitting questions and comments using this online form: Click here

In addition, we will be holding community events on the following dates, where members can submit their questions regarding the selection policy.

Two Community Events will take place on Monday 5th July and Thursday 8th July.
