PATHWAY CONVERSATIONS: #BFLearningWeek

BF Pathways Director Steve Kemp joins #BFLearningWeek to host two sessions about BF’s Athlete Development Pathway, one for athletes and the other for parents.

Please note, the session aims are the same for both sessions but the intended audience is different. Please choose and register for either the athlete or parent session below.

Athletes Conversation

Wednesday, August 24th 12.30pm

This Zoom session will allow for the sharing of insights on the Athlete Development Pathway. It aims to answer questions such as what the ADP is about? Why have a pathway? Steve will share what you need to understand about the pathway, and what the end-in-mind approach is.

By the end of the session you will know more about:

  • One Athlete, One Plan, Many Pieces (Better People = Better Fencers).
  • Getting better, faster.
  • What will help me as as a Fencer, Athlete, and Competitor?

Venue: Zoom. The session will not be recorded. Please register by clicking the blue button below. You will be sent a link to the Zoom meeting before it starts. You need to be a BF member to join this session.

 

Parents Conversation

Friday, August 26th 6pm

This Zoom session for parents is to share insights and information on the Athlete Development Pathway. Parents are invited to join Steve to discuss questions: What is it all about? Why have a pathway? What do I need to understand about the pathway? With the end in mind approach?

By the end of the session you will know more about:

  • One Athlete, One Plan, Many pieces (Better People – Better Fencers)
  • Getting better, faster
  • What is actually being sought! Fencer A and Fencer B

About BF Learning Week

#BFLearningWeek 2022 will explore many aspects of our exciting sport, with experts in coaching, sports psychology and performance joining guest speakers and the BF team to give insight into our fencing world and its future.

The week takes place between 22nd and 29th August with a series of online events.
