David Sosnov began fencing as a young athlete and has progressed through the British Fencing pathway to become one of Great Britain’s leading men’s foilists. His breakthrough came at the 2026 Junior European Championships in Tbilisi, where he produced a dominant series of victories to become the Junior Men’s Foil European Champion. His performance included decisive wins against top opponents from Spain, Ukraine, Hungary and Russia before securing gold in an all‑GB final against teammate Mohammed Belbouab.

David also contributed to Great Britain’s success in the Junior Men’s Team Foil event, helping the squad secure bronze with strong performances in tightly contested matches against Belarus, Slovakia, France and Hungary.

Alongside his international achievements, David is a Performance Athlete at King’s College London, balancing elite sport with academic study while continuing to develop into a senior contender.

Known for his precision, tactical intelligence and calm under pressure, David is regarded as one of the strongest members of Britain’s next generation of foilists.
