BF RANKING EVENTS REQUIRED TO USE SPORT80 PLATFORM FROM 1ST SEP 2023

Following existing widespread adoption, from 1^st September 2023, all Senior ranking events will be required to use the Sport80 platform to accept entries.

This change is being introduced following the success of a similar move for Cadet and Junior tournaments and the existing widespread adoption of the platform in Senior ranking events.

Entries taken “on-platform” benefit from the lower levy, simpler administration, and greatly improved data quality so this change will benefit members, organisers and ranking volunteers.

Other benefits include:

• Using the platform allows other fencers to see who has entered and can make a more informed choice about competing in those events.
• Using the same platform allows the users a consistent experience.
• Entries via the platform protect the competition organiser from incorrect or invalid membership types entering their events and in turn this avoids the additional administrative burden on BF staff and volunteers and delays to ranking updates.
