Venue: English Institute of Sport
We want fencing to be a sport where everyone involved can have fun and feel safe. We are offering two days of training will see the delivery of three interactive workshops which will help people across the sport to understand more about their roles and how safeguarding applies to them.
The days will come in two parts. On both mornings we are offering “En Garde Ready” this is for anyone – fencer, parent, coach, armourer, referee ……… It will take you on a journey through what safeguarding is and how it applies to you and what tools there are out there to help you with your role.
On the 2nd May the afternoon will be taken up with Team Manager Training which is for anyone who is or wants to become a team manager. EGR is a pre-requisite to attend this workshop.
On the 4th May the afternoon we will be delivering Time to Listen (TTL). TTL is for anyone who is, or wants to become a Club Welfare Officer. British Fencing strongly recommend that all clubs have a CWO, who should be trained. EGR is a pre-requisite to attend this workshop.
