British Fencing is delighted to announce that they have appointed Bluefin Sport to deliver an improved package of insurance benefits for members.

The Civil Liability cover, provided by Hiscox , has increased from £5M to £10M. This is partially in response to  requests from clubs and competition organisers whose agreements with venues require this level of cover as a minimum.

The Personal Accident cover, provided by Chubb, has now been increased capital benefits to £50K from £25K. Cover has also been extended to age 80 (although reduced benefits apply over 70).

British Fencing is working with Bluefin Sport to create a downloadable proof of insurance document, which alongside a valid membership (and registration in the case of coaches), will provide accessible proof of cover for members.

Bluefin Sport  will also provide a dedicated helpdesk for member queries which can be contacted on [email protected] or 0345 872 5060.

Speaking about the partnership, Bluefin’s Head of Sport – England & Wales, Daniel Thompson said; “We are honored to be appointed by British Fencing to place their insurance program and we are looking forward to working together to continue to offer competitive advantage to the Association and  its membership in terms superior service and product offerings. We have provided British Fencing Association with a comprehensive and competitive insurance product which offers wider protection to its members whilst they are participating in the sport they love. This is a fantastic opportunity for both Bluefin Sport and British Fencing and we are delighted to be working with such a prestigious organisation.”

British Fencing’s Chief Executive Officer, Georgina Usher added; “We were very impressed with the care and attention that Bluefin Sport have taken to create a package of improved insurance benefits for British Fencing, our members and affiliated clubs.
