British Fencing has now undertaken a review of the Cadet and Junior ranking schemes on the back of a series of issues arising from the current system.

The review looked at linking points more simply  to results  (similar  to the FIE system) leading to easier calculations, a reduction in errors and less labour intensive ranking investigations, whilst still comparing results fairly.

A widespread consultation process was undertaken with helpful input from many people, including ranking coordinators, weapon leads, coaches and parents.
