Following the 2014 AGM the BF Honours Committee has been re-established with myself – as President – as the Chair. Information regarding committee membership and terms of reference can be found under ‘Committees’ in the ‘Governance’ section.
The remit of the Honours Committee is to make recommendations for awards within the fencing family only, therefore largely within BF but occasionally within the FIE or other fencing-based organisations. Responsibility for recommendations for Queen’s or State Honours remains with the Nominations Committee.
For BF awards a new nomination system is now in place. My intention is that this system will focus entirely on the membership, therefore with all nominations coming direct from members. Our committee will in effect act as selectors, with the objective of recommending awards in a wide range of categories, while ensuring that there is consistency of award levels and criteria. Awards will be made each year and announced at the AGM.

For the 2015 awards please note that your emailed form must arrive no later than 25 June 2015.
