British Fencing is seeking to recruit a Non-Executive Director, a Non-Executive Director Casual Vacancy, Senior Panel Members and an Independent Trustee.


Non-Executive Director – British Fencing

To be appointed on an initial four year term

British Fencing is seeking to recruit to the Board, a Non-Executive Director (NED), with a specific interest and experience in social and community change programmes. We are now inviting applications from those with strategic leadership and management experience in this area, ideally in programmes involving sport.

Non-Executive Director – Casual Vacancy – British Fencing

To be appointed on a temporary basis to the AGM 2018

British Fencing is seeking to appoint a Board Director from within the fencing community with relevant accounting qualifications and recent experience that includes operating in Finance at a Senior Management level or higher.

Senior Panel Members – British Fencing

To be appointed on an initial two year term

British Fencing (BF) wishes to increase its panel of independent experts that can be called upon to hear a number of different types of disputes and complaints including:

  • Selection Appeals
  • Complaints about BF services and policies in accordance with the complaints policy
  • Disciplinary and Grievance.

We would actively welcome applicants from a diverse set of backgrounds for this voluntary role.

Independent Trustee – British Fencing Charity

To be appointed on an initial four year term

The aim of the British Fencing Charitable Fund (BF Charity) is to provide financial and other assistance to enable participation in the sport of fencing at all levels.

The BF Charity is a legally separate entity to British Fencing with its own trustees acting in the interests of the BF Charity. BF does however appoint those trustees and in that context, at the request of the existing trustees, we wish to appoint an independent trustee.

The independent trustee should have experience to the charity sector and in sports administration.
