On the 23 February 2016 British Fencing received the following information from FIE to announce the next opportunity to undertake the FIE coaching course at their fencing academy in Budapest.

The application process for the registration to the next session scheduled at the Budapest Fencing Academy is now open to European countries. The National Federations of the European zone are warmly invited to submit their application for the next session that will start on 3 April, 2017. The deadline to submit the application is 10 March, 2017.

Due to the high demand received, only a limited number of places are available. Please find here below some logistical and practical information for your application:

• The trimester is scheduled for kick-off on the 3 April 2017. The duration of the courses will be 3 months, until 30 June;
• Arrival of the participants: 2 April. Departure: 30 June;
• Courses will be in sabre, epee and foil
• The FIE will cover all costs (accommodation and meals) + will provide € 200 contribution for the travel costs;
• The students should preferably have some basic experience: the courses are intended to be intermediate level.
