Following a period of investigation and taking into account feedback already received, the method for calculating the NIF value of all FIE events will be as follows:

• All fencers awarded a position in the final ranking of the event will count the number of World Cup points earned and counting for FIE World Ranking purposes immediately before the event.  This value can be found on the official FIE entry list for the event vie the FIE web site.
• BFA members will count the maximum of their World Cup value and their domestic NIF.
• The minimum NIF will be 2 times the number present.

This scheme is considerably simpler to administer and up to date than the previous scheme and should help members to understand the potential value of an event more easily.
