CLUB ADMIN UPDATE: SPORT:80 MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL ALERTS JULY 2026

New automated notifications are now in place on Sport:80 to help clubs stay ahead of membership renewals and retention.

A useful update for club administrators is now live on Sport:80, making it easier to keep track of upcoming renewals without the usual manual checks. Administrators will receive automatic email notifications when a member’s membership is approaching renewal, giving clubs a timely prompt to take action.

This change aims to simplify day-to-day administration while helping clubs maintain active, compliant memberships across their club.

How it works

  • Notifications run daily after 9:00am.
  • Emails are sent throughout the day, depending on system activity and processing volumes.
  • Only members who have selected your club as their Primary Club will trigger a notification.
  • The email is sent directly to the club’s main administrator, highlighting that a renewal date is approaching in the next seven days.

In practice, this means fewer spreadsheets, fewer manual checks, and a clearer view of which members may need a nudge.

Why it matters for clubs

  • Better visibility of upcoming renewals.
  • More timely communication with members.
  • Stronger retention through proactive engagement.
  • Peace of mind that all active fencers hold a valid BF membership.

A quick reminder at the right moment can make the difference between a lapsed member and a returning one. For busy clubs, having that prompt built into the system should lighten the load.

What’s next

Work is ongoing to improve the club administration experience, with further enhancements expected in future platform updates. Feedback from clubs continues to shape these changes, so practical insights from day-to-day use remain valuable.
