CONSULTATION OPENS FOR THE 2022-23 GBR SELECTION POLICY

The draft 2022-23 GBR Selection Policy is published for community consultation with initial discussion events to provide feedback to the community.

The 2022-23 GBR Selection Policy cover all age groups, U17s, U20s, U23s and Seniors and Para Fencers.

Key Adjustments (highlighted in the draft document)

• Integration of new Para Fencing Performance Standards into the BF Selection Policy
• Additional automatic qualification standards to compete for GBR at Major Championships for all ages.
• Expanded ‘Quick Guide’ table.
• Removal of Senior European Championships (as this event is replaced by the European Games which will fall under a separate nomination policy)

The consultation period for the 2022-23 selection policies will run from 30th June 2022 – Tuesday 12th July at midnight.  Members will be able to respond to the consultation by submitting questions and comments using this online form: Click here

In addition, we will be a holding community event on the following dates, where members can submit their questions regarding the selection policy.

A community event will take place on Thursday 7th July, at 12:30 pm. Cancelled due to low uptake.
