117 fencers from 25 nations to contest this year’s event

British Fencing will host the Eden Cup this weekend.  This men’s foil event is the only under-20 international to take place in the United Kingdom.  One hundred and seventeen fencers from twenty five countries will compete for the 2015 title at SportsDock, University of East London.

Last season’s winner, Francesco Ingargiola (ITA) will be defending his title and there will be a 20-strong British contingent taking part as well.

Speaking about the competition, British Fencing’s Event Manager, Katie Rhodes said; “Preparations are going very well – we are excited to be returning to SportsDock for the second time for this event as it is an excellent venue.  We have seven of the top ten Junior fencers in the world competing this year as well as a very experienced refereeing contingent.  So it looks set to be an excellent weekend of fencing.”

Entry to the venue for spectators is free but if you are unable to make it to the event you can follow the live results here and there will be regular updates on our Facebook page and Twitter feed.
