The role involves commissioning and editing content, and liaising with the production team to produce a lively and attractive product that reflects the values of fencing.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Conceive, assign, edit and if necessary rewrite stories and multi-story packages on a wide range of British, European and global fencing issues
  • Coordinate with the World Class Programme and International Youth Committee about international news coverage during the competition season
  • Coordinate with the social media staff of British Fencing

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven senior editorial and leadership skills
  • Innovative thinking and the energy and drive to make things happen
  • Ability to build coalitions within the British fencing community
  • A record in managing the editorial integrity of a magazine

This is a voluntary role.
