In another dazzling display of fencing for our sponsor, eight GB fencers entertained Beazley guests and the public in Hay’s Galleria, near London Bridge on 19^th April. The third of Beazley’s City pop-up fencing events was MC’d by professional sports presenter Lynsey Hipgrave, and our own Laurence Halsted who informed the crowds about the sport. Men’s foilists Richard Kruse and Ed Jefferies, women’s epeeists Jenny McGeever and Beccy Thomas, men’s sabreurs Curtis Miller and Gildas Braine, and wheelchair foilists Piers Gilliver and Dimitri Coutya demonstrated their weapons and fought for either the Beazley Pink or Beazley Grey team. As well as mingling with and chatting to guests, the fencers showed keen members of the audience how to fence. The event was a great success and the Grey team won 58 – 57 in the end.
