FIE COMPETITION UPDATES – MAR 2026

Updated schedules have been confirmed for several rescheduled FIE events.

The FIE Executive Committee has confirmed revised dates for four World Cup & Grand Prix events postponed after the escalation of the global situation on 28 February 2026. Decisions taken on 1 and 4 March ensured continued focus on athlete safety and fair opportunities for all delegations.

All four competitions have now been rescheduled as follows:

• Cairo, EGY – Men’s & Women’s Foil World Cups: 16–19 April 2026
• Padua, ITA – Men’s Sabre World Cup: 17–19 April 2026
• Athens, GRE – Women’s Sabre World Cup: 17–19 April 2026
• Budapest, HUN – Épée Grand Prix: 17–19 April 2026

The GBR Calendars has been updated and the FIE website will be updated soon. The original selections for these postponed events will be honoured, with selected athletes invited to reconfirm their attendance.

On 12 March 2026, the Executive Committee also confirmed that the following competitions will proceed as originally scheduled:

• Lima, PER – Foil Grand Prix
• Astana, KAZ – Men’s & Women’s Épée World Cups
• Tashkent, UZB – Women’s Sabre World Cup
• Budapest, HUN – Men’s Sabre World Cup
• Rio, BRA – Junior & Cadet World Championships
