BF has confirmed the referee and coaching arrangements for the opening FIE Satellite competitions of the 2026/27 season.
Athletes entering FIE Satellite competitions should note that support arrangements will vary by event. Where referees and/or coaches are being provided by BF, the associated athlete contribution will be included within the Sport:80 event charges.
For events where no support is being provided, athletes remain responsible for sourcing their own referees in accordance with FIE competition requirements.
Events on 5th September 2026
Athlete-sourced referee events:
No referee or coaching contributions will be applied for the following events. Athletes will be responsible for sourcing their own referees:
FIE Senior Satellite (Chonburi) – Women’s Foil
FIE Senior Satellite (São Paulo) – Men’s Foil
FIE Senior Satellite (Reykjavik) – Men’s and Women’s Sabre
For the FIE Senior Satellite (Dublin):
BF will provide two referees. No coaches will be provided
Athletes will be charged a referee contribution only.
Events on 12th September 2026
Athlete-sourced referee events:
No referee or coaching contributions will be applied for the following events.
FIE Senior Satellite (Tashkent) – Women’s Foil
FIE Senior Satellite (Nuremberg) – Women’s Sabre
FIE Senior Satellite (Gand) – U23/Senior Women’s Épée
FIE Senior Satellite (Gand) – Men’s Sabre
Athletes will be responsible for sourcing their own referees.
Referee-Only Events:
BF will appoint referees to support the following events:
FIE Senior Satellite (Bari) – Senior Men’s Foil (Nominations Only)
FIE Senior Satellite (Split) – U23/Senior Men’s Épée (Nominations Only)
Therefore referee charges will apply.
Events on 19th September 2026
For the following events, BF will provide both referee and in-event support:
FIE Senior Satellite (Belgrade) – Senior Men’s Épée
FIE Senior Satellite (Madrid) – Senior Women’s Épée
FIE Senior Satellite (Amsterdam) – Senior Women’s Foil
FIE Senior Satellite (Sofia) – Senior Men’s Sabre
FIE Senior Satellite (Samsun) – Senior Women’s Sabre
FIE Senior Satellite (Samorin) – Senior Men’s Foil
Athlete contribution covers referees and coaches.
*Veterans going to the forthcoming World Championships will be asked to contribute to referees only. They will not be provided with in-event support.

Athletes are advised to take these support arrangements into account when planning and budgeting for their international competition programme during the 2026/27 FIE Satellite season, as these fees are non-negotiable.
