The  2019 GLL Camden International EFC U17

26th/27th October 2019

The 2019 GLL Camden International EFC U17 Sabre event will be managed by a joint organising committee led by Camden Fencing Club and supported by Truro Fencing Club, The London Borough of Camden and British Fencing. The event will be sponsored by GLL.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Ronald Velden, whose tireless and significant efforts have secured the sponsorship necessary to make this competition possible. As always we are incredibly grateful to GLL for their support of this event and for the support shown to our top GBR athletes through the GLL Sport Foundation.  We must also thank The London Borough of Camden for their work in partnership with GLL and BF to develop fencing in the borough.”

Pat Ayenuro, Competition Manager and Camden Club Manager said “Along with support from the Truro team, Camden Fencing Club is looking forward to making the 2019 GLL Camden International Cadet competition one of the most successful international sabre events of the 2019/20 season for young people, attracting fencers from across Europe and beyond.”

Jon Salfield, Truro’s representative on the Organising Committee and GBR Sabre Coach, said “This event provides an important stepping stone for young sabre fencers in the UK, allowing them to experience international fencing without the cost associated with travelling abroad. We will also be organising a Senior sabre event over the weekend which has been designated part of the EFC U23 circuit. This will give sabre fencers of all ages the opportunity to participate in a fantastic weekend of competition in London.”
