Rio 2016 qualification to resume in Paris and Gdansk this weekend

British fencers will take part in cadet, junior and senior events this weekend.

Senior Men’s Foil – Paris World Cup

Six British fencers will represent Great Britain at this event in Paris at the weekend.  The individual event will begin on Friday, concluding on Saturday and the team event will take place on Sunday.  Paris is the penultimate qualification event for the Rio Olympic Games for the Men’s Foil team.  To follow live results and coverage online, visit the official event webpage.

Senior Women’s Foil – Gdansk World Cup

Seven British fencers will line up for this event in Poland.  The individual event starts on Friday and concludes on Saturday with the team event following on Sunday.  With no women’s team foil event taking place at this year’s Olympic Games, all eyes will be on the results of the individual event.  Live results will be published online here.

Junior Men’s Epee – Basle

Nine British fencers will compete in the individual event in Switzerland on Saturday.  Daniel McGlade, Harrison Nichols, Aml Sinclair and Craig Worman will line up for Great Britain in the team event on Sunday.  Online results have been advertised at the following links – individual event & team event.

Junior Women’s Epee – Dijon

Just two British fencers will take part in this event at the weekend in France.  Live results may be posted on this web page.

Cadet Men’s Foil – Pisa

Fifteen British fencers will take part in this event in Italy on Saturday.  For more information visit the official event webpage.

Cadet Women’s Foil – Pisa

Five British fencers will take part in this event in Italy on Sunday.  For more information visit the official event webpage.

Cadet Men’s Sabre – Modling

There will be fifteen British fencers competing in this event in Austria on Saturday and you can follow live results online here.
