Barcelona Senior Women’s Epee World Cup

 

There were four British fencers in the field of two hundred and forty-seven in Spain at the weekend.  Julie Henson achieved the best result by making the second preliminary round.

 

Twenty-seven countries entered the team event including Great Britain who lost to Italy in the round of 32.

Bonn Senior Men’s Foil World Cup

 

The field of two hundred and forty-seven fencers included twelve from Great Britain.  Marcus Mepstead got the best result by making the quarterfinals.

 

Great Britain beat Belgium in the round of 32 in the team event before losing to Italy in the next round.  They finished in eleventh place.

Dourdan Junior Men’s Sabre World Cup

 

A field of one hundred and sixty fencers at this event included nine from Great Britain.  James Edwards, George Suddards and Nicholas Howes got the best result by making the round of 64.

 

Great Britain were one of seventeen countries in the team event.  A bye through the round of 32 was followed by defeat to Kazakhstan.  They finished thirteenth.
