Epee Medals for Jordan, Sheffield and Cooper 

Bahrain Junior Men’s Epee World Cup

It was a great start to the season for Britain’s men’s epeeist who competed at the first World Cup of the season in Bahrain at the weekend.  Four of our fencers took part in the event with Owen Jordan claiming silver and Matthew Cooper picking up a bronze medal.  You can read a full report on their performances here.

Bahrain Junior Women’s Epee World Cup

Laura Sheffield was Great Britain’s only representative in the women’s epee event in Bahrain and she matched Jordan by claiming the silver medal.  You can read a full report on her performance here.

Godollo EFC Cadet Men’s Sabre

Fifteen fencers from Great Britain took part in this event where Ian Ren achieved the top result by making the quarterfinals.

Godollo EFC Cadet Women’s Sabre

There were also fifteen British fencers in the women’s event. Maia Fashokun achieved the best result by making the top 32.

Amsterdam Senior Men’s Sabre Satellite

Last weekend, Antony Shek was Britain’s only competitor in the men’s sabre satellite in Holland, where he made the round of 32.

Amsterdam Senior Men’s Foil Satellite

Amsterdam also hosted a men’s foil satellite last weekend that included seventeen British fencers.  Glen Ostacchini achieved the best result by making the quarterfinals.

Belgrade Senior Women’s Epee Satellite

Six British athletes took part in this event in the Serbian capital last weekend.  Katrina Smith claimed the best British result by making the quarterfinals.

Belgrade Senior Men’s Epee Satellite

There were four British entries into the men’s event in Belgrade where Callum Maynard, Elliott Grover and Paul Sanchez-Lethem made the round of 32.

London Senior Men’s Foil Satellite

There was a strong British presence at this event on 17 September.  The best results for home fencers can from Kamal Minott, Husayn Rosowsky, Glen Ostacchini, Conor Head, Ben Bates and Keith Cook, who all made the round of 32.

London Junior Women’s Foil World Cup

Great Britain had a large entry into this event on 16 September where Yasmin Campbell achieved the best home result by making the round of 32.

There was also a strong presence for Great Britain in the men’s event in London where Dominic De Almeida and Ben Bates achieved the best results for home fencers by making the top 64.
