In accordance with the Olympic Selection Policy, the British Fencing appointed the recognised and independent resolution service Sports Resolutions (UK) to manage appeals.

Sport Resolutions appointed a three person Panel consisting of Charles Flint QC, Janice Shardlow and Chris Drury, to consider appeals by four British fencers in relation to their non-selection for the GB Team for the London 2012 Olympics.

The hearing took place on 28 May at the Sport Resolutions Arbitration and Mediation Centre in London. Sport Resolutions was able to provide an expedited process, delivering a written decision within seven days of the Panel being constituted.
