REMINDER FOR NON‑GB FENCERS ELIGIBLE FOR BF RANKINGS

Clear guidance on how non‑GB fencers can qualify for inclusion in BF rankings.

Fencers who represent a country other than Great Britain but hold BF membership may still be eligible for inclusion within BF rankings. This ensures all eligible members, regardless of international representation, are accurately reflected within the BF ranking system.

To be included in the rankings, the following conditions apply:

• Participation in at least one domestic ranking event within the relevant category is required during that 12‑month period.
• The fencer must provide their EFC or FIE licence number directly to BF, depending on which applies.

Responsibility for submitting licence information rests with the fencer or, if under 18, their parent or guardian. Licence numbers should be emailed to the BF rankings team before the applicable EFC or FIE event takes place. Results cannot be considered for inclusion until this information has been received and verified.

These criteria keep the rankings fair and consistent, help organisers seed events properly, and make sure all athletes have taken part in the domestic competition system to support a stronger domestic circuit.
