The FIE Congress has agreed an extension to the temporary rule (t.17.2) regarding the Sabre en-garde lines from 31st December 2016 until the FIE Executive Committee meeting in February 2017 (date to be confirmed.)
 
Therefore, further to the announcements made by British Fencing on 14th July 2016 and 23rd September 2016, any of the following types of competitions that fall within that period should implement this rule:
·       All U17 BRC competitions
·       All U20 BRC competitions
·       All Senior Opens
 
Other category domestic competitions held during this period may choose which rule they apply provided they make it clear in advance on their published information which rule they are using.
