On Sunday 12 June 2016, The Mall in St James’s Park will be transformed for its largest ever street party to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s patronage of over 600 charities and organisations on the occasion of her 90th birthday. The not-for-profit event will see 10,000 people enjoying a hamper-style lunch at tables positioned along the full length of The Mall.
British Fencing is one of the organisations that enjoys Her Majesty’s patronage and as such has tickets available to attend this event. Earlier this year, we asked a few of our members whether in principle they would like the opportunity to buy tickets to attend this event. The response was very positive and we are now able to confirm that there are seven pairs of tickets available to our members, so that you can share in this one-off event on 12 June 2016.
The tickets are only available in pairs and each pair costs £300 [inclusive of VAT]. It should be noted that recipients of the tickets are acting as ambassadors of British Fencing at this event and tickets are therefore not transferrable or for re-sale. British Fencing is required to submit details of all ticket holders in advance and photographic ID will be checked and required for entry.
The tickets will be made available as follows:
1. 4 pairs of tickets will be available through a ballot
2. 3 pairs of tickets will be available through a ‘sealed-bid’ auction
The Ballot
Please note that if more than four members express an interest in purchasing the tickets by the deadline date below, a ballot will take place and the first four names randomly selected will be notified accordingly. Following allocation of the tickets we will need to submit all the names of the people attending on behalf of the British Fencing so you may wish to think about specific names now as, if successful, there will be a quick turnaround of the information required.
The Sealed Bid Auction
British Fencing would like to use this opportunity to raise funds for the British Fencing Charity. Members are invited to request a pair of tickets and pledge an additional donation to the British Fencing Charity (ie in addition to the cost of the pair of tickets). The three highest pledges will be allocated tickets. Unsuccessful pledges will automatically be entered into the ballot.
More information about The Patron’s Lunch is available at www.thepatronslunch.com
If you are interested in purchasing a pair of tickets please email your details (along with any pledge) to [email protected] by no later than noon on Wednesday 16th March 2016.
