The BF Events Manager, Katie Rhodes will be leaving British Fencing on September 23rd. Her last competition will be the School Games.

Katie has been with British Fencing for six years, and during that time she has worked tirelessly to deliver the variety of events that British Fencing has run.

CEO Georgina Usher said “This is an enormous loss to British Fencing and we will miss her greatly.  During her time with us Katie has managed to bring the values of British Fencing to life with her exceptional customer service skills and her determination to deliver a high quality experience in all the events she has organised, from National Championships to Station Pop-ups.  Her popularity with the members and respect from those that work with her should not be underestimated.”

Speaking about her decision to leave, Katie said, “I have loved my six years working for British Fencing, but now feel it is time to move onto a new challenge, and put some of the great experience I have gained into practice in other areas.  My relocation to Plymouth has meant spending lots of time on the road, and travelling regularly to the office in London, and my aim is to move on to a role based closer to home to allow me to spend more time with my family.  I hope to remain within the sport in some capacity, as the sport will always be close to my heart.”

British Fencing is starting the recruitment process with immediate effect, and more information will be posted on the Vacant Roles http://britishfencing.com/news/vacanciesandrecruitment/ section of the website shortly.  If you are interested in applying for the role please in the meantime contact [email protected] for more information.
