In celebration of Volunteers’ Week 2025, we asked members of our community to nominate a volunteer who has made a difference to them. Today’s spotlight is on Teresa Innes.
Teresa Innes volunteers as the armourer for Crawley Sword Club.
“Teresa is our club armourer and started learning how to fix equipment when her son was fencing at club. He is now all grown up and has moved out of the area, and Teresa still faithfully comes twice a week helping to maintain club and fencers’ kit. She also helps out at Sussex and South East competitions, providing vital support to the fencing community.”
