Voting closes soon. Muslim Girls Fence (MGF), BF’s project with Maslaha, has been nominated for The National Lottery Awards Project of the Year.
The National Lottery Awards Project of the Year is a chance to highlight fencing with BF’s project with Maslaha up for the award. The shortlist has been highlighted in local and national news and across social media as votes flow in ahead of the deadline on September 7th.
You can cast your vote on social media using #NLAMuslimGirlsFence, or online here. Please remember to tag both Maslaha and Lottery.
The maximum number of times a single person may vote is 4. Once on Twitter, once on Facebook, once on Instagram, and once on the website.

On Twitter, any post containing the hashtag #NLAMuslimGirlsFence will count as a vote. Retweets of a post containing #NLAMuslimGirlsFence will also count as a vote. There is only one vote per Twitter account permitted – either an original tweet or a retweet, not both.

On Instagram, any post or comment containing the hashtag #NLAMuslimGirlsFence and tagging @nationallotterygoodcauses will count as a vote. Supporters can also vote by using only #NLAMuslimGirlsFence to comment on a pinned post on the National Lottery Good Causes Instagram page here. There is only one vote per Instagram account permitted.

Muslim Girls Fence is a project collaboration between Maslaha and British Fencing which aims to facilitate spaces at a grassroots level for Muslim girls and women to challenge assumptions and narratives relating to their gender, racial, religious and other identities through both physical and creative methods. The project has been nominated for The National Lottery Awards Project of the Year, and voting is now open.
