WORLD CLASS PROGRAMME – MENS FOIL TALENT ASSESSMENT DAYS – 10th and 11th May 2013
As part of the continued development of the World Class Programme (WCP), an assessment and testing session for invited men’s foilists is being held on 10th and 11th May 2013. The event will form a significant part in deciding the five additional athletes for the WCP Podium Potential programme. In addition the assessment will be used to begin the process of highlighting athletes that could be part of any new Talent Programme.
Fencers ranked in the top 10 Seniors, top 10 Juniors and top five Cadets of the GB domestic ranking lists (as of the 15th April) have all received invitations to attend. In addition a couple of athletes have been invited based on previous ranking and competition results but who are not currently within the rankings.
Further Talent Assessment days, across all weapons, are planned for later this summer as we develop the Pathway. More details will follow.
