British Fencing is further cementing its strong relationship with specialist Lloyd’s insurer Beazley, its main sponsor, by inviting William Pitt to join the BF Board. William joins as an “additional Director”, replacing the former CEO, Piers Martin. The post is for one year, but can be extended on the Board’s recommendation.
William brings commercial, marketing and communications skills to the Board. He is chief marketing officer for Beazley, working mainly in the USA and UK.
David Teasdale, BF Chair, commented; “Beazley has proved to be an excellent partner to British Fencing, giving strong support to our Green, Grow, Gold mission. William’s experience and skills will be valuable to the Board.”
William Pitt added: “British Fencing has made significant progress in broadening the appeal of the sport. I look forward to working with David and the other members of the Board to build on this success.”
