Working Together To Make our Fencing Community Gender-Inclusive

On Tuesday 1st February at 6.30pm, BF will host an online listening event for our fencing community to discuss how to ensure a safe and welcoming environment to all individuals, of all gender identities.

BF will be running a Zoom session for transgender, non-binary, gender-fluid and gender non-conforming (GNC) members and members of all gender identities, providing a safe space to discuss ways in which the sport can ensure it is open and inclusive for all. BF are committed to listening and working with the community to ensure that all members feel welcome and part of the sport.

Head of Participation Virginia Bailey said “We want to create a space to listen to our members and hear about their experiences in fencing, working with them to make the sport a more inclusive space for our members irrespective of their gender identity, whether they have been fencing for years, or are new to the sport. The event is open to all members of the fencing community, particularly those who do not identify as cisgender, whether you want to listen to others, or share your own thoughts and experiences in fencing, we would encourage you to join us.”

To sign up for the event, please complete the form below. You will be emailed a Zoom link 24hrs before the event.
