Due to the withdrawal of UK Sport funding, the British Fencing WCP will not be able to support the 2017 World University Summer Games. Eligible athletes, who would like to be considered for selection to the event and can fund the required athlete contribution, for instance with the support of their university or higher education provider, should submit their expressions of interest to [email protected] before 5pm on Friday 31st March.
Final nominations will be submitted to BUCS on the 14th April 2017.
Expression of interest does not commit British Fencing or BUCS to confirming entries; selection criteria applies and any potential entry will be strictly dependent on capacity within BUCS core infrastructure and logistics, and if still possible may be restricted in terms of numbers as a consequence.

Athlete Contribution
The table below details the estimated costs per athlete. Depending on the number of athletes meeting the selection criteria, the total athlete contribution will vary, the total will be payable on successful qualification and entry.
Individual athletes and / or teams must be accompanied by a minimum of one coach or support staff.
